In 2003, the plant celebrated its 50th anniversary. Half a century of traditions is quite long in the Polish context, but still not long enough as compared to European aluminium companies from Germany, Italy or France, whose traditions date back to the end of the 19th century. However, the employees of the former ZML Kęty and of the present Grupa Kęty were able to make up for lost time and learn quickly; as a result, they remarkably reduced the technical and technological gap between their company and European leaders. Next year, Grupa Kęty will celebrate another round anniversary of its foundation ― the 60th. Only when browsing partial financial results for 2012 and completed projects, it seems that the plant celebrating its 60th anniversary is in its best ever shape. It is expecting record-breaking sale revenue (1.51 billion PLN) and EBITDA at 223 million PLN. And by 2015, pursuant to the adopted development strategy, the company wants to increase its sales to 1.9 billion PLN and EBITDA to 325 million PLN.
