Nothing needs to be done on pipe ends during manufacturing, and what needs to be done is just to place the coupling over the two pipe ends that you want to join and then tighten the bolts, which enables the anchor rings to catch the surface of the pipes tightly so as to fasten with position limit and the sealing lips are pressed tightly against the pipe surface to form a seal.
