ARIS Stellantriebe GmbH has presented its new damper actuator LINEARIS during the trade shows DIAM and Valve World in 2014. This latest in-house development was well accepted and ARIS received several suggestions to offer these linear motion drives in a design which is suitable for use in explosive atmospheres of zone 1.
ARIS is said to be specialist for industrial drive technology with experience of over 40 years and permanent market orientation. Therefore the ARIS developer team has modified the existing ATEX drive and implemented the LINEARIS Ex in the shortest time.
Actuators of the Intelligent Line and the Classic Line are used as drive heads. These are, as already the rotary and part-turn actuators, installed in a separate flameproof enclosure, thereby fulfilling all the requirements use in zone 1.
The risk assessment in accordance with ATEX - Directive 94/9/EC showed that the LINEARIS lift unit can be used with minor modifications in hazardous areas of zone 1. Here, the new LINEARIS lift unit plays from their advantage over damper actuators sold until 2014, since the unit is not firmly connected to the drive head, but can be combined with various drive heads.
