Steinbach GmbH was founded by the Steinbach family in 1981. With a healthy dose of pioneering spirit and the necessary entrepreneurial vision, it subsequently developed to become a successful mid-sized industrial service provider with locations in Detmold and Ulm (Germany) as well as Charlotte (USA).
In addition to technical wholesale, the company focused on the processing of elastomers for customers in the mechanical engineering, plant and vehicle construction sectors right from an early stage. This set the course for a modern finishing, manufacturing and service provision enterprise.
Today, our three business segments - Quality Membranes, Industrial Components, Bag and Foil Packaging and Foot Mats - are effective and innovative partners to our customers.
In the area of foot mats and runners, Steinbach AG is setting new standards using computer-aided cutting for irregularly shaped contours.

We are a continuously growing group of companies with four locations and more than 500 employees in Germany. Our family-owned company brings more than 50 years of experience to bear, gained in the supplier industry and as a partner to the technical trade. Seals, stamped parts, semifinished goods or special parts – billions of elastomer and plastic parts leave our production facilities every year and find their way into worldwide application in the different sectors.
With our Group-wide tool-making and mould-building capabilities, we are able to meet almost every requirement. Speed and flexibility are our guiding principles. Therefore it stands to reason for us having the largest semifinished goods inventory facility in Europe. Admittedly, our products are often not visible from any external viewpoint. Nonetheless, they are invariably an indispensable component and are therefore, for us, more than 'only' C components.
